Campus parking is available in the Morehead visitor lot for a cost of $1.25 per hour. For some executive education seminars, reserved parking is available for $12 per day. Visitor spaces also are available in the Morehead Planetarium lot and in the Town of Chapel Hill parking deck on Rosemary Street.

Traveling east on I-40 from Greensboro, exit onto NC-86 (exit #266). Turn right at top of ramp, heading south into Chapel Hill (4 miles). Turn LEFT onto Franklin STREET; go through two traffic lights; turn RIGHT into MOREHEAD VISITOR LOT (in front of the Morehead Planetarium).

Traveling on 15-501 from Durham, continue southwest on 15-501.  Bear right onto Franklin Street. Follow Franklin Street into Chapel Hill. Go past Raleigh Rd, turn LEFT into MOREHEAD VISITOR LOT (in front of the Morehead Planetarium).

Traveling west on I-40 from Raleigh (or the RDU airport), exit onto NC-54 WEST (exit #273A) toward Chapel Hill.  NC-54 becomes RALEIGH RD and enters campus. Take a right to continue on RALEIGH RD. Go to the second light and take a left onto Franklin Street.  Turn LEFT into MOREHEAD VISITOR LOT (in front of the Morehead Planetarium).

Where can I park if I didn't reserve parking?

There is a visitor lot in front of the Morehead Planetarium as well as three Town of Chapel Hill parking lots with hourly and daily rates on Rosemary Street. Rosemary runs parallel to Franklin Street (on the north side). The Carolina Inn, which is close to Carroll Hall, also offers hourly parking. Please see this map for additional parking options.
