Seminars - At least one 800-level JOMC seminar
Thesis or nonthesis project - Register for JOMC 993 if your final product will be in archivable form (traditional thesis, series of articles, etc.). Although the School of Journalism and Mass Communication considers a series of articles a nontraditional thesis, the Graduate School considers it a traditional thesis for registration purposes. If you choose to write a series of articles, then you must take JOMC 754. Register for JOMC 992 if your final project will not be in archivable form (such as CD ROM, VHS tape, etc.).
(Six of the 10 courses required for the degree must be at the 500-, 600- or 700-level.)
