Doctoral Park Fellow named first non-law student to First Amendment Law Review board

Erin Coyle, a doctoral Roy H. Park Fellow in the school, has been appointed to the editorial board of the First Amendment Law Review (FALR) published by the UNC School of Law.

Erin is the first non-law student - campuswide - to serve on one of the law school's journals. Her nomination to the editorial board was approved not only by the current editors of the FALR but also by law school faculty vote.

Associate professor Cathy Packer and her former student, Eric David, the editor-in-chief of the FALR, helped pave the way for a journalism and mass communication doctoral student to serve on the editorial board.
